Is ‘Sebastian’s Bistro’ the most underrated restaurant in Disney World?

While I haven’t eaten at every restaurant on Disney property, I’m comfortable in answering yes for this one.

Sarah and I recently returned from 10 glorious days in Walt Disney World where we stayed at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. It was our first time even visiting the resort, let alone staying there, and it’s a really beautiful resort. Plus the Skyliner? Game-changer. One of the things that we most wanted to try out during our stay was to eat at the resort’s only sit-down restaurant, ‘Sebastian’s Bsitro’, as the only time I’ve ever heard it mentioned on the Disney internet circles is by Disney Food Blog (In DFB We Trust(except for the Karamell-Küche Butter Bar which haunts us both…)) who rate it really highly.

The restaurant has limited opening hours and unless you’re staying at the resort or on the Skyliner route, it’s unlikely that you’d head to the restaurant - it just doesn’t have the reputation.

To that I say: why the heck not?! It was one of the best meals I had on the entire trip.

The Details

  • ‘Sebastian’s Bistro’ is a family-style restaurant that’s open for dinner everyday from 4:30-9:30pm.

  • It’s a small restaurant and reservations are limited - book on your 60 day dining day if you want to eat here.

  • The food is Latin and Caribbean themed, but with a Disney/American toned-down approach.

  • Pricing:

    • Adults: $35 per person, plus tax and gratuity

    • Kids (aged 3-9): $19 per person, plus tax and gratuity

We both thought that this meal was one of the best value meals that we had on our trip, for the quality of the food, the amount we were served, the location, and the immaculate service.

The Location

  • Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort is one of the largest resorts on property with 1536 guest rooms spread across five areas: Aruba, Jamaica, Trinidad, Barbados and Martinique.

  • We stayed in Aruba in building 55, right next to the Riviera Skyliner station. While it’s a good 10 minute walk from Old Port Royale where the lobby, gift shop, and food options are, we were mere minutes from the Aruba section pool, laundry and bus stop, and the Skyliner station.

  • The restaurant sits just outside Old Port Royale, a 10 minute walk from either Skyliner station and only a minutes from the main bus stop.

The Food

I loved everything on the menu at this restaurant. It was absolutely delicious.

It’s a three-course, family-style meal with Latin-Caribbean flavours. You can view the full menu on the Disney World website right here, but this is what we had on our visit (22 April 2023).

Our meal at ‘Sebastian’s Bistro’ was a foodie highlight of our trip and we’ll be recommending the trip out to Caribbean Beach to everyone wanting a gorgeous meal in a beautiful, serene spot after a full-on day in the parks. Great value, stunning food, beautiful sunset spot, easily reachable on the Skyliner - what more could you want?

Have you eaten at ‘Sebastian’s Bistro’? Did you love it as much as we did?
