6 books I want to read over the summer

Even though I’m nearly 30 and have been working full time since I graduated from university, there’s still something about the onset of summer that makes me think I’m going to have two months to read everything I can get my hands on. My TBRs are out of control, I lose all sense of willpower in the library and all I want to do is go and lie beside a pool reading novel after novel.

Sadly, that’s not on the menu for this summer and I’ll be reading around work and birthdays and adventures, but I will be reading.

Since around the beginning of March, I’ve been in a serious reading slump. The worst in years, but since Sarah and I got back from Florida (we had a fab time, posts to come!) my brain has come back and I finally want to read again. So I’m obviously making myself a summer reading list.

Does anyone else wish libraries did a Summer Reading Challenge for adults? I lapped that up as a kid and did it religiously every year until I was too old to take part and instead volunteered to be one of the adults helping kids find their next books, handing out stickers, and listening to their interesting takes on what they’ve read over the summer break.

So I’m making my own!

Here’s what I’m planning to read for my personal Summer Reading Challenge:
