My top picks from the 40 new Hallmark Christmas movies for 2023

Watching Hallmark Christmas movies as soon as they start on Christmas24 has become an annual tradition and I’m pleased to report that I’ve already watched several dozen and it’s not even December yet.

I do deserve a medal for dedication, you’re right!

But one of the most frustrating things for me is finding out what new ones will make it to the UK, where and when to watch them as we don’t have Hallmark TV on any TV providers, but the channel is available as an add on to Amazon prime for £4.49 a month (there’s a 7 daye free trial running as of writing this on 11 November).

I honestly usually just rely on Christmas24 and Great! Christmas which are available for free on Virgin Media and Sky. You can find them here:

  • Virgin Media - channel 419 (Christmas24+1 on 420)

  • Sky Q - channel 325 (Christmas24+1 on 326)

  • Sky Glass/Sky Stream - channel 313 (Christmas24+1 on 314)

As it’s harder to track down the new movies on the channels we have available, so I like to keep an eye on the titles so I can look out for them. These are my top picks from the 40 new Hallmark Christmas movies for 2023.

‘Checkin’ It Twice’

When a hockey player is traded to a small town, he falls in love with the real estate agent who’s backyard cottage he moves into.

Mystic Christmas

During the holidays, Juniper travels to the town of Mystic in Connecticut to work at a rehab centre and aquarium, and falls in love with the owner of the pizza shop.

Joyeux Noel

When copy editor Lea falls in love with a mysterious painting of a French Christmas market, she travels to the town with a reporter to uncover the secrets of the artist.

Everything Christmas

When two friends embark on a road trip to a small town where Christmas is celebrated all year, they find themselves caught up with Carl and Jason and the four of them stop off at small Christmas towns along the way to Yuletide Springs.

A Heidelberg Holiday

When Heidi gets the chance to sell her handmade glass ornaments at the Heidelberg Christmas Market, she also finds a way to connect with her heritage with the help of a local artist.

Letters to Santa

When a magic pen from Santa is found, the siblings make the Christmas wish they want more than anything - for their parents to get back together.

Magic in Mistletoe

Harrington is the author of a popular series and he’s heading back to his hometown for a celebration of his books. While there, he’s being babysat by April, a publicist for his publishing house, and she hopes that she can also help him bring back some magic to the holidays.

Sealed with a List

With the help of her co-worker, Carley sets out to complete her list of abandoned resolutions from the year.

Well, I’m feeling suitably festive now.

(I obviously had a Hallmark Christmas movie on in the background while watching this - I watched ‘Radio Christmas’ (2019) and it gets 4 Christmas Trees out of 5.)
