Curriculum: Winter Term starts today!

On Substack, we run The Dark Academicals Book Club, a feast of extra dark academia and podcast content every single Tuesday.

Season nine of The Dark Academicals launched on 1st October with an episode featuring ‘Immortal Dark’ by Tigest Girma which was a heck of a book to begin the new season with. You can listen to the full episode right here:

In the weeks between new podcast episodes, we share a series of special episodes that deep dives on topics, ideas, theories, genres and author that influence and intermingle with dark academia as a genre and the titles that we’ve featured. We call it the Curriculum and Winter Term is now in session!

First up, we’ll be taking a deep dive into William Shakespeare, specially focusing on four particular plays: ‘Macbeth’, ‘Hamlet’, A Midsummer Night’s Dream’ and ‘Henry V’.
