9 most anticipated book releases for Autumn 2023

It’s nearly September, my favourite season is on it’s way and I. Can’t. Wait.

Blankets, chilly mornings, hot chocolate, crunchy leaves, candles, Halloween and pumpkin picking.

I love it all and I would like it to hurry up because I’m fed up of getting sweaty. So I’m focusing on the books that will catapult me straight into my favourite season.

There’s a really specific vibe about Autumn-y reads for me, and it’s weirdly difficult to describe. There’s the expected Gothic vibes, the dark academia vibes (hey, if you like dark academia we have a whole podcast dedicated to it!), most fantasy in general, and those cosy reads that feel like reading a hug - because it’s all about the feeling.

These new releases (released from September to November) look like they’re going to give me that Autumn feeling that I’m craving.

This is going to be one heck of an Autumn reading season!
